Parkroyal Parramatta has finished the final stage of its multi-million-dollar renovation, adding a new lobby, upgraded meeting spaces, and a premium executive suite as Western Sydney’s business sector expands.
The hotel completed the redesign of two-thirds of its guest rooms earlier in 2025. The new additions include a revamped lobby, upgraded event spaces, and the opening of Western Sydney’s largest permanent LED wall, measuring 10 metres by three metres. The venue now offers a total of 13 flexible event spaces.
This latest phase arrives as Parramatta strengthens its position as Sydney’s secondary central business district. The area is undergoing significant changes, including the upcoming opening of Western Sydney International Airport and the Powerhouse Museum. Major corporate headquarters are also expanding, and the local population continues to grow, driving demand for high-quality accommodation.
Officials with Pan Pacific Hotels Group said the investment reflects long-term confidence in the region. Jeroen Meijer, Cluster General Manager, noted that the hotel is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year. He stated that the transformation ensures the property can meet growing demand while delivering an enhanced experience for guests.
Spaces designed for large and small gatherings
The Governor’s Ballroom has been upgraded to accommodate larger conferences and gala dinners. For more intimate meetings, the hotel introduced a 116-square-metre Parkroyal Suite. This space is designed to host up to six guests.
The introduction of the 10-metre-by-three-metre LED wall gives event planners a permanent tool for visual displays that is not typically found in local hotels. The combination of these facilities aims to position the venue as a destination that reflects the sophistication of the surrounding business environment.
While the physical upgrades are now complete, the broader economic context suggests continued pressure on venue availability. As the region transitions from an emerging commercial hub to a fully established centre, the availability of sophisticated spaces with permanent AV infrastructure will likely become a competitive advantage for hotels in the area. The focus on flexible event options suggests the property is attempting to lock in corporate contracts before the influx of visitors associated with the new airport.
Hans Joachim, Parkroyal Parramatta Hotel Manager, described the work as an investment in a destination that matches the area’s trajectory. He added that the completion of the transformation ensures the hotel is well-positioned to support future growth while maintaining the service standards that have historically distinguished the property.
